Methodologies and Technologies for Socio-environmental and Climate Justice
Based on the principles of popular education, we will explore experiences of participatory and inclusive processes in the Global South in the development of monitoring methodologies and technologies, public policy advocacy, and emerging technologies. We will reflect on how decentralized grassroots climate finance, coupled with this popular engagement, has empowered communities and individuals to build adaptation and mitigation alternatives to address local and global climate challenges and strengthen territorial autonomy and equity.

Building a Just Ecological Transition:
Funding Agroecology Initiatives Led by Workers and Local Communities
The goal of this event is to highlight how land use driven by people and communities — grounded in agroecology and agroforestry practices — can protect biomes, ensure food sovereignty, and create dignified livelihoods. The session will also explore how these solutions can be strengthened through an ecosystem of philanthropic organizations rooted in national contexts and deeply connected to strategic actors in the field, particularly at the community level.

Feminist Funding for Climate, Economic Justice and Resilience:
Successful Approaches from the Ground
Tierra Viva, Fundo Agbara and Instituto Baixada Maranhense and GAGGA will explore successful approaches to funding local feminist climate and economic justice initiatives. What strategies have proven effective, why do they work, and how can funders better strengthen and build upon these grassroots models? The discussion will be grounded in the experiences of local voices from Brazil, South Africa, the Philippines and Honduras.
