Discover the confirmed events of The Global South House at COP30

The voices of the Global South are already shaping the plural itinerary of the first edition of The Global South House.

Firt Edition COP 30 Belem (Brazil)
The journey so far has been built collectively – from the open call for proposals to the work of the Curatorial Committee, which brought together representatives from different regions, languages, and biomes. The result is a program that reflects the diversity of the Global South and proposes dialogues rooted in the knowledge and solutions of those who live in the territories. From November 12 to 20, 2025, at Canto Coworking, in the heart of Belém (Brazil), TGSH will be a space for connection and reflection alongside COP30 on financing for climate, nature, and people. A central theme that unfolds across multiple fronts, as diverse as the voices that make up the Global South. In one shared space, different experiences will come together to explore how to transform flows of money and power into instruments of socio‑environmental justice and climate justice. The selection of proposals followed three guiding principles:
  • The intersection between financing and key themes such as gender, youth, and socio‑environmental justice;
  • The highlighting of inspiring experiences of redistributing resources and power;
  • Innovation, through philanthropic arrangements created from and for the Global South.
With this spirit, the program of The Global South House opens up space for dialogue among Indigenous peoples, youth, rural communities, territorial funds, feminist organizations, and socio‑environmental defenders, among many others. The invitation also extends to funder partners, civil society, the public and private sectors, and multilateral bodies — this is a space to collectively build alternatives for a fair financing architecture rooted in local realities and connected to the COP30 program in Belém.
